Back Hair Removal – A Brief Overview

These days numerous men have been looking at back hair removal. This is because too much back hair can make man look… well ape like. A little is OK but I think most people will agree that excessive back hair is not a good thing. What we will look at in this article is ways to remove back hair. We will look at both long term and short term methods.

Waxing

The back is a very hard area to reach for obvious reasons, so why not have someone else do the back hair removal for you? Waxing is the technique of putting hot (or cold) wax on the skin and then a cloth or paper strip is put on top and ripped off. This takes out hair from root to tip and commonly lasts 2-8 weeks, although it changes a lot from person to person. Hair reduction is always going to be a long process and if your hair grows back rapidly a more long lasting approach would be more suitable. Having said that since the roots are being impaired after each waxing procedure, the hair that does grow back shouldn’t be as thick. If you’re uncomfortable about going to a salon you can get home waxing kits, however, you will need a helping hand from your partner for this and undoubtedly it will be more painful than getting it done by a professional.

Trimmers / Shaving

If you just want to have your hair manageable then possibly trimmers or shaving are the best option for back hair removal. It’s also one of the lowest priced options but regrettably one of the least permanent. Hair will commence growing back immediately. It’s really hard to do by yourself too unless you want a back full of cuts! It’s a fast and straight forward option but something to think about if you’re on a budget.

Laser Hair Removal

At home laser hair reduction, or specialist laser hair removal is a practical permanent option. It is rather pricey but surely worth it because you wont need to be bothered about your hair reduction ever again! A drawback is that you will need a few treatments, so you will need to join together this option with shaving, but after a number of months you should be completely hair free. It works by the laser simply killing your hair follicles, this hurts just slightly – people say it’s similar to an elastic band snapping against your skin. At home laser hair removal systems will save money over getting it expertly done and means you can do other areas too – not just hair elimination.

Hair Removal Cream

Hair reduction creams can be utilized both at home and at a salon for back hair reduction. It gets rid of the hair from the skin level; not the root. Mainly because it’s a cream you should be able to apply the cream to your back by on your own, but it still will be more convenient to get another person to do it for you. The hair reduction cream works by decomposing the construction of the hair, which then means it can be successfully scraped off the skin. Hair will commonly begin to grow back after a week or so.

What is the Most Effective Way to Remove Unwanted Hair?

Are you a woman who suffers from hair growth in places a woman just shouldn’t have? What do you do about it? While some nationalities have more of a predisposition to hair growth, it doesn’t mean having to live a life of discomfort and embarrassment as a result of your genetic history. You may have already tried many methods to alleviate the problem, even if they have only been temporary. But, there are always new research projects in the making for just this sort of thing that you may not have tapped into yet.

Many women experience hair growth on their face much like a man. For some, it grows in as a dark thick hair follicle. For others, it grows like peach fuzz in large quantities but lighter and fuller. The latter is less noticeable but is just as concerning to the person who has it as the darker hair growth of another woman. Below are some solutions to a problem that may not be something necessarily a health issue but it can be serious when it comes to a woman’s self-esteem and self-confidence.

1. Shaving is one solution a woman can try, however, this is probably the most temporary of all possible solutions out there because of the fact that shaving only goes surface skin-deep, meaning it only cuts the hair at the surface of the skin and not at the root. This leaves the hair follicles to grow back quickly and causing you to continuously to shave it more and more frequently. Unfortunately, even when doing so, there never really is a completely smooth surface on your face for very long.

2. You could try using tweezers to pluck each individual hair out by the root but using this method can be very time-consuming and really quite painful if your pain threshold is very low. As you continue plucking over time, however, you do begin to build a pain tolerance but will always be a daunting task and not the best method overall.

3. There are plenty of depilatory gels on the market that you place on the area of hair growth and let sink in. As it surrounds the hair follicle, the chemical in the product gently removes it from under the root and although can be irritating to the skin, is quite effective and lasts much longer than the previous methods above. If you have very sensitive skin, however, this may not be the best choice because the irritant could leave a rash behind for days after the application.

4. Waxing is another great method for removing hair and one that is longer-lasting than tweezing and shaving but much like the depilatory gels, they can be irritating to the skin and the process of removal can be painful as the wax strip, although applied while moist, is removed after it has dried and doing it quickly like a band-aide which can be a shock to the system.

5. You can try the electrolysis method which is a permanent solution for hair growth. This involves passing electrical currents through the hair shaft killing the follicle at the root. This is extremely effective and the hair never grows back. The downside is that it can be quite expensive as you need to go and repeatedly have this done to the same area many, many times before the hair growth actually stops. The other downside is that it is an extremely painful process.

6. Your last option would be laser treatment. This method is probably the most expensive way for hair removal and can also be time-consuming and may not be permanent. It is very important that you seek out a professional that is licensed to do laser hair removal as this could be extremely dangerous to your health if not done correctly.
